‘Brilliant’ Nigerian Army unleash Ezugwu against Boko Haram

In a report by NAN, the Nigerian Army has finally unleashed EZUGWU against Boko Haram.

These are units of locally made combat vehicles – Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected (MRAP) with the termed being an Igbo term meaning King of mountains.

Per the report, it will be used in Operations Lafiya Dole and Sahel Sanity as its inauguration was held today in Kaduna.

During the ceremony, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Butatai who was represented by Maj.-Gen. Jamil Sarham, the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) said;

“Today, one of the greatest challenges facing the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) and other security agencies is an outright reliance on importation of defence logistics from allies.”
