‘Easy does it!’ Kabaka stages comeback, releases date for new song (Poster)

The one and only Easy Kabaka is indeed back for real with his new single titled Back 4 Real.

Isiaka Ajani being his real name is a popular Fuji musician who hailed from Ogun State but settled in the Mushin area of Lagos where he plied his trade.

A contemporary of Sir Shina Akanni and Adewale Ayuba, Easy Kabaka started his Fuji career in the late seventies and early eighties.

He was popularly known as ‘African Micheal Jackson’, a stage nickname he adopted which later pitched him against Abass Akande Obesere, who was also laying claim to the same name.

While Obesere released live audios using snide remarks to describe his rival, Kabaka on the other hand did not reply with such abusive songs but remained focused.

He later dropped the nickname and simply wished to be known as ‘Mr. Kabaka’.

Kabaka released a number of albums in the early nineties and made significant impact until the late nineties when the likes of Pasuma and Remi Aluko took centre stage.

While he focused on stage performance at ceremonial functions, his latest release may be drawing him back to his first love as the demands for good oldies and undiluted contemporary music rev up in the south western Nigeria.
