Department: Strategy & Innovation Department at BLUEBIRD Communications
Reports to: Group Head
Location: 11 Aderibigbe Shitta Street, Maryland Estate Maryland, Lagos
Major Functions: Responsible in working across a range of business areas, engaging with numerous department heads and drive innovative ideas through all stages of development to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Work with the team members for the delivery of strategic and operational projects within agreed expectations, timetable and budget.
⦁ Develop and coordinate the approved concept into a requirements definition and detailed specification of a project, enabling all costs (time, resource and), risks and benefits to be understood and measured in sufficient detail to enable decision making around committing resource to implementation.
⦁ Responsible for the quality of the business analysis and the quality of alignment between the business need and the recommended change to briefs that will deliver the initials specified result.
⦁ Works with engaged support teams to solve any issues or barriers that may arise, and threaten to delay the project, as deemed appropriate and provide progress reports as appropriate.
⦁ Managing concept activities and developing business and benefit cases for innovation opportunities.
⦁ Supervise daily scan of dailies/magazines and isolation of relevant data on the business of brands managed by the Agency.
⦁ Searches sources, such as reference works, literature, documents, newspapers, and statistical records, to obtain data that can assist pitches and business development endeavors.
⦁ Prepare or contribute to strategy documents primed for presentation at pitches or strategic brand sessions.
⦁ Lead and present communication strategy documents at pitches or brand sessions with Clients.
⦁ Regular analyses of verbal or statistical data to prepare creative brief for use of the creative Department.
⦁ Regularly challenge Clients with new ideas that can grow their business and improve brand perception.
⦁ Assist in supervising external research agencies that the Agency may commission from time to time.
⦁ Contributes to the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in team meetings.
⦁ Contributes to the ongoing improvement of Projects.
⦁ Prepares and submits reports as required.
⦁ Present ideas to clients when necessary.
⦁ Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications and Experience
⦁ At least a HND or a first degree in management, media, PR and other related subjects.
⦁ 3-5years work experience.
⦁ Possessing knowledge of sales, marketing and advertising principles
⦁ Knowledge of various computer software, such as Acrobat and Microsoft, internet etc.
Skills Required
⦁ Excellent written and oral communication skills
⦁ Good and proven knowledge of industry trends and dynamics
⦁ Good contacts relevant to job description to facilitate primary and secondary schedules.
⦁ Possess a broad-minded orientation.
⦁ Very curious and probing mindset
⦁ Ability to think-out of the Box.
⦁ Good power point and MS skills
