‘Visibility’ Simi calls for consistent content creation from upcoming artistes

Nigerian singer, Simi, has shared a bit of advice to upcoming artists on their use of social media and the importance of regularly posting content.

Simi in her advice to upcoming artists warned that their use of social media is very important and they should also post content relating to the music regularly. She shared this via her Instagram page on Friday, the 7th of December 2021.

Simi who held a headline concert in Lagos last month is fully back to the music scene after a short hiatus following the birth of her first child with Adekunle Gold. Shortly after the hiatus, she returned with a song titled Happy Birthday for her daughter in collaboration with her husband, before unveiling her very own single titled Woman.

In her advice to younger artists, Simi hammered on the need for visibility on social media, warning against the urge to act mysterious online. In her words;

You a “serious” growing artist have only 3 posts on your page. A picture of the sunset, one of aeroplane and one of your shoe. Caption – Lost, but don’t find me. Nothing with your music in it. That’s not a great look. If you wan’t it bad bad, always be selling yourself. Leave the mysterious shit for when you’ve won! Even then, still leave it.
