A 19-year-old woman, Fatimo Agboke, has been accused of fatally stabbing her neighbour’s son, Faroul Azeez, in Lagos. The victim died from a stab wound inflicted during a confrontation.
[dropcap]O[/dropcap]n September 9, 2024, Fatimo Agboke, a 19-year-old woman, was involved in a fatal confrontation with her neighbour’s son, Faroul Azeez, in the Ijegun area of Lagos State.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. during a heated argument between Agboke and Azeez.

During the altercation, Agboke allegedly grabbed a broken bottle and stabbed Azeez in the neck, leading to severe injuries.
Despite attempts to rush him to the hospital, Azeez succumbed to his injuries before reaching medical attention.
Hundeyin reported that the police were alerted by a complaint from the victim’s family, leading to a swift response at the crime scene.
The body of Azeez was found lying in a pool of blood with a deep neck wound and was subsequently taken to Mainland General Hospital in Yaba for an autopsy.
Agboke has been arrested and is currently in police custody. An investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
