2Face, who formed Plantashun Boiz with Blackface and Faze in the early 2000s, clarified that bandmate Faze was not involved in the disputes that contributed to the group’s disbandment.
“You all know that Plantashun Boiz consisted of Blackface, 2Face, and Faze. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, Blackface is not with us right now. However, no matter the beef wey me and Blackface get, nothing concern Faze inside. So, Faze is right here with me and we will represent Plantashun Boiz,” he told fans.
The band achieved massive popularity in the early 2000s but eventually split as members pursued solo careers.
The separation was further complicated by public allegations from Blackface, who accused 2Face of song theft, creating tension between the two artists.
Despite past disagreements, 2Face’s remarks emphasised his commitment to honouring the legacy of Plantashun Boiz and maintaining a positive professional relationship with Faze.
The duo continues to engage fans with music that celebrates the group’s influential contributions to Nigerian pop culture.
