Transcorp Hilton Abuja has won five awards, including Africa’s Leading Business Hotel for the eighth consecutive year at the 29th annual World Travel Awards.

The hotel, which is owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, also won awards for Nigeria’s Leading Hotel, Nigeria’s Leading Business Hotel, Nigeria’s Leading City Hotel, and Nigeria’s Leading Hotel Suite (the Presidential Suite), winning in the five categories it was nominated for.

The awards were announced at a blockbuster gala ceremony at the International Convention Center, Nairobi, Kenya, where travel industry VIPs from across Africa attended the big travel industry reunion.

Transcorp Hotels Plc Managing Director/CEO, Mrs. Dupe Olusola said; “We are proud to be named Africa’s leading business hotel for the eighth consecutive year despite competing with some of the leading hotels across the continent for the award. This shows our capability to run our business sustainably and maintain standards despite economic headwinds.”

According to the Transcorp Hotels Managing Director/CEO who stressed that the company is fully committed to the growth of the hospitality industry and the satisfaction of guests, awards like these encourage her and the team to do more.
