Typically, the following documents are commonly required when applying for a dog license/certificate in Nigeria:

a. Proof of Ownership: Provide documentation that proves you are the legal owner of the dog, such as a purchase receipt, adoption papers, or a transfer of ownership document.

b. Vaccination Records: Ensure that your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date. Most licensing processes require proof of vaccination against common canine diseases such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

c. Health Certificate: Some areas may require a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian, confirming that your dog is in good health and free from contagious diseases.

d. Identification Documents: Prepare your own identification documents, such as a valid government-issued ID card or passport, as you will need to provide proof of identity.
