The unfortunate incident happened in the early hours of Friday, August 28, 2020 while the bodies of the dead pilot and co-pilot were stretched out in front of St Ive’s Hospital, Ikeja as at the time of filing this report.
Quorum, which prided itself in being ‘affordable, reliable, safe and time dependable’ air shuttle transportation service and boasts of patronages from some Nigerian governors, may be having tough time at the moment with the slur the Lagos crash brought on its reputation.
In September 2019, the executive governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai introduced 2 of the company’s jets for Kaduna-Abuja air shuttle services in the hope that the air shuttle service would complement the Kaduna-Abuja rail service.
Pundits reasoned that the crashed helicopter is a signal that all is not well and should serve as a call to the Nigerian government for proper oversight of the aviation industry in order to keep Nigerian airspace and Nigerians safe.
