The Group Managing Director of Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL), Ambassador Dr. Maureen Tamuno, paid a courtesy visit to Abuja Property Development Company (APDC), inspecting projects and highlighting upcoming investment forums
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a visit that has generated enthusiasm and renewed optimism among staff, the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL), Ambassador Dr. Maureen Tamuno PhD, recently paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Abuja Property Development Company (APDC), a significant subsidiary of AICL.

The GMD was warmly welcomed by the Acting Managing Director of APDC, Mr. Akeem Kolawole Aderogba, along with other members of the management team and staff who gathered to express their appreciation for her visit.
The APDC Acting MD commended Amb. Tamuno’s leadership, highlighting her as the first GMD to visit the APDC office twice and directly engage with the staff.
He particularly emphasized her instrumental role, alongside the Minister of the FCT, in securing the approval for a long-awaited salary increase for staff after eighteen years, a milestone that has significantly boosted morale and productivity.
The Acting MD also acknowledged the transformative impact of the GMD’s leadership and expressed optimism for continued positive developments within the company.
During her visit, Amb. Tamuno inspected the newly completed ACE Shopping Complex, a crucial amenity within the APDC Capital Estate in Kaba, designed to serve the needs of its residents.
She congratulated the APDC management team on the completion of the complex and reiterated her commitment to the progress and development of APDC, emphasizing the importance of performance, accountability, and a proactive approach to achieving company objectives.
Amb. Tamuno also expressed her sincere appreciation to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, CON, for his unwavering support and visionary leadership in the ongoing restructuring of AICL and its subsidiaries.
She stated, “I thank His Excellency, the Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike, who is our overall boss. Because without his responsiveness and commitment to see the growth of AICL and its subsidiaries, and for the welfare of the people, that mileage would not have been possible. So, we extend our thanks to him, even in absentia, for what he has done.”
Amb. Tamuno further highlighted two significant upcoming events: The Abuja International Investment Forum in London on June 19th, 2025, themed “Exploring Investment Opportunities in Africa’s Gateway-Nigeria,” and The Abuja Business & Investment Expo, scheduled to take place between October 21st and 25th, 2025, at the newly renovated International Conference Centre Abuja, with the theme “Empowering Sustainable Growth, Unlocking Potential In Emerging Markets.”
Amb. Tamuno concluded by stressing the importance of a cordial and productive relationship between APDC and AICL, reiterating her commitment to supporting APDC’s growth while ensuring its responsible operation within the AICL framework.
In the vote of thanks, delivered on behalf of APDC, Ambassador Tamuno’s dedication and impactful presence were highlighted.
