Anambra vehicle theft suspect arrested with stolen cars, tricycle, and weapons. Police urge public to identify recovered items at Isiowulu Division.
Anambra vehicle theft suspect Chidi Nwoye has been apprehended by the Anambra State Police Command in a significant breakthrough that exposed a trove of stolen vehicles and crime-related items.

The 24-year-old suspect, known for operating in a tricycle, was intercepted in the early hours of August 22 along Minaj Road, Obosi, by police operatives from the Isiowulu Police Division in collaboration with local vigilantes.
He was caught in possession of a stolen tricycle and confessed to using master keys to steal both vehicles and tricycles from parking areas.
Recovered from the Anambra vehicle theft suspect were a Hyundai Tucson, tricycle, mobile phones, ATM cards, weapons, and a host of improvised tools used in vehicle theft, including ignition devices, fuse wires, and master keys. Notably, a battle axe, a “Special Force” face cap, and a vehicle tracking device were among the more suspicious items retrieved.
According to Police Spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga, investigations are ongoing, with further searches extended to the suspect’s hideout for potential recovery of additional stolen property.
Members of the public who may have recently lost vehicles or personal items are advised to visit the Isiowulu Police Station for possible identification.

The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
