‘Back to normal’ Policemen now visible in Ebute-ero

Normalcy has finally returned to Ebute-ero, Lagos Island as police personnel have resumed duties.

The Ebute-ero Police Station, which is located close to the palace of the Oba of Lagos at Iga-Idungaran, Idumota, was set ablaze by hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest.

The DPO, CSP Adeshina Olunlade, Inspector Iruedo Collins, Insp Nicodemus Maigari and nine other police officers were macheted with cutlasses, bottles and shot.

Several rifles and ammunition, according to the police, were looted during the arson.

As at the time of filing in this report, the burnt station is yet to be renovated but police officers are visible within the metropolis.

Oba Akiolu, recently, returned to his palace, more than two months after hoodlums invaded his residence and carted away his staff of office among other valuables.
