Big Brother Naija transmission suspended due to power challenge; organisers assure housemates are safe as technical team works to restore service
Big Brother Naija transmission suspended on Friday evening after organisers Multichoice Nigeria reported a power challenge affecting the live broadcast of the reality TV show.

In a public notice shared via Instagram, the company reassured fans that housemates were safe while engineers worked to restore normal transmission.
“We’re currently experiencing a temporary break in Big Brother Naija transmission due to a power issue. Rest assured, the housemates are safe and sound.
Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience,” the statement read.
The organisers also added a lighthearted note, encouraging fans to “grab a snack, stretch your legs,” and promising that “premium entertainment” would return shortly.
Now in its 10th edition, Big Brother Naija remains Nigeria’s most popular reality TV franchise. The season, which kicked off on July 26, has housemates competing for a record grand prize of N150 million.

Despite the temporary outage, fans online expressed excitement and anticipation for the show’s swift return.
