RAF jets have been scrambled after Russian aircraft triggered the NATO defence system yet again.
The jets were scrambled from RAF Brize Norton this morning. Although the Russian aircraft have not been identified, two RAF Voyagers were scrambled this morning.
The jets headed north of Aberdeen according to Aviation tracker, Air Live.
One of the RAF Voyager’s is currently over the North Sea.
The operation follows a similar incident on Wednesday where British Typhoons were scrambled from Lossiemouth to track the Russian bombers.
The jets flew over the Shetland Islands as Russian planes tested the response time of the RAF.
