The Lagos State Police Command has successfully apprehended Olamilekan Odofin, also called Southy Igboro, a 34-year-old fugitive who has been on the run for over a year.
The arrest was made by officers of the Ayobo Division, marking the end of Odofin’s evasion from the law.

Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Lagos State, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the significant development on his official Twitter handle.
According to Hundeyin, Odofin, known for championing attacks on motorists and the police under the guise of the Yoruba Nation agitation, was captured on January 9, 2023.
The suspect had been a fugitive since his involvement in violent incidents over a year ago. Investigations are currently underway to delve into the details of his activities and the extent of his involvement in the attacks.
“After over a year on the run, 34-year-old Olamilekan Odofin has been arrested by officers of Ayobo Division. The suspect, on January 9, 2023, championed attacks on motorists and the police under the guise of Yoruba Nation agitation. Investigation is ongoing,” he wrote.
