A 52-year-old Canadian returnee, Morufudeen Idowu, was arrested for assaulting a KAI officer at Ojota, Lagos, after resisting arrest for crossing the expressway
[dropcap]A[/dropcap] fifty two year old man, Mr Morufudeen Idowu, claiming to be a Canadian returnee, was arrested on Friday for allegedly assaulting an official on the Lagos Expressway at Ojota.

The incident occurred when Idowu reportedly crossed the busy expressway, a violation of traffic regulations.
When a personnel from the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) corps accosted him for the infraction, Idowu reportedly resisted arrest. In the process, he allegedly assaulted the KAI officer, inflicting bodily injuries.
The details of the injuries were not immediately specified, but the action prompted swift intervention by authorities.
Following the incident, Mr Idowu was taken into custody at the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) office in Oshodi.
He faces prosecution in accordance with the relevant laws of Lagos State.
