Veteran singer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has called on Nigerians to be vigilant and protect their votes in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

In a recent interview with Jay-on-Air, Charly Boy emphasized that distractions like the recent bus-stop controversy surrounding him should not deter the public from focusing on the larger issue of electoral integrity.

He highlighted the need for Nigerians to remain strict about securing their votes to prevent manipulation.

“All I’m interested in right now is, will our votes count in 2027? How do we do it?… We know the game. But I’m hoping to see ‘rig and die’ come 2027. Blood will flow; before it gets better, it will get worse,” he cautioned.
