A native of Idogo, Yewa South Local Government, Chief Olaseni has emerged as a formidable force, known for his vision, resilience, and dedication to the people.

His journey from a thriving private sector career to the forefront of Ogun State politics reflects his commitment to genuine development and grassroots empowerment.

Born on 13 June 1973 into the prominent Salako family of Agbole Oluwo, Chief Olaseni’s early years laid the foundation for his future success.

An alumnus of Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye, he earned a degree in Economics before launching an impressive professional career.

He served as a Marketing Controller at Refuge Insurance Company and later became Managing Director of Wao Logistics between 2005 and 2010.

In pursuit of greater knowledge and global exposure, he relocated to Canada in 2011, where he honed his expertise and leadership skills.

Despite his international experience, his heart remained firmly in Nigeria, particularly in Yewa land.

This deep-rooted commitment led him to establish the Salako Empowerment Foundation (SEF), a transformative organisation providing financial aid, educational scholarships, and skills development initiatives.

Through SEF, Chief Olaseni has uplifted countless lives, reflecting his dedication to social and economic empowerment.

His passion for governance and grassroots development naturally drew him into politics, where he quickly became a key stakeholder in Ogun State’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

His influence within the party continues to reshape the political landscape, earning him a reputation as a people-centric leader driven by transparency and progressive ideals.

In 2022, Chief Olaseni contested for the PDP’s ticket to represent Yewa South State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly.

His campaign shed light on the community’s longstanding issues of misrepresentation and neglect, bringing the people’s genuine aspirations to the forefront.

However, in the interest of party unity, his ambition was sacrificed following the Consent Judgement of 2021—an internal arrangement that shaped the PDP’s preparations for the 2023 general elections.

As the 2027 parliamentary elections approach, Chief Olaseni Salako’s bid for the Federal House of Representatives has gained remarkable traction.

Widely seen as the best choice for the Yewa South/Ipokia Constituency, he enjoys overwhelming support from party members and the electorate alike.

His strategic thinking, bridge-building abilities, and commitment to progressive governance have made him a beacon of hope for the region.

With his rising popularity and the tide strongly in his favour, Chief Olaseni’s journey to the 2027 elections looks promising.
