‘Commendable!’ Segun Sowunmi captured by Dapo Abiodun’s approach

A chieftain of People’s Democratic Party in Ogun State and former Spokesman to the PDP presidential candidate in 2019 general elections, Chief Segun Sowunmi, has commended the governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun for providing monitoring vehicles to the state zonal town planning offices across the state.

In a very unusual way by politicians of opposition political parties in commending the incumbents efforts, Sowunmi described the projects as commendable.

“Having traversed the state, one major agony for me has been how town planners have allowed shanties to develop all over the place especially in the new towns and the boarder towns. It is commendable to see that the government is giving necessary tools for town planning officers to work more effectively and efficiently,” he said.

Expressing “worries” that the governor is on the path of capturing him, the former spokesman for the opposition party during last election praised the Dapo Abiodun led administration of navigating in the right direction. He concluded with warm exchange of pleasantry to the governor for a job well done.

Earlier, the Ogun State government through its Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development had distributed twenty-six mini vehicles to complement monitoring activities at its 22 Zonal Town Planning Offices across the state.

At the handing over event, the acting general manager, Planning and Development Permit Authority, Tpl. Kolawole Ogun, appreciated the governor for his interest in the sanity of the town planning profession, advising the zonal town planning officers to jealously guide and make good use of the vehicles, urging them to take the profession to higher level for the environment to be a better place.
