Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has congratulated the newly appointed Secretary to Delta State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, fnipr, saying his appointment is well deserved.

Oghenesivbe in a goodwill message to Ukah, and made available to newsmen in Asaba said the new SSG is a team player who does his job with an open mind and very proactive in making official decisions.

He recalled that as Commissioner for Information in the first tenure, Ukah led a very productive and result oriented team which effectively drove the publicity stunt of the SMART agenda and Prosperity for All Deltans mantra to fruition, before he was appointed the Honourable Commissioner of Basic Education at the commencement of the second tenure.

Oghenesivbe, who is a member of the International Communication Association, mica, further asserted that the new SSG is a man of high dignity, integrity, very effective, a workaholic, a detribalised Deltan and a trusted public servant who have dedicated his time and talent in working with the governor in multifaceted ways in the past six years.

“I heartily congratulate the newly appointed SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah. He is truly a man of integrity and a reliable political associate of our amiable governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

“His excellent track records as Commissioner for Information, and Commissioner for Basic Education, attests to his genuine passion for service to the state and people.

“Ukah’s appointment is a round peg in a round hole, and Deltans will be the beneficiaries of his unique style of team work and time bound service delivery.

“The new SSG, will bring to bear his wealth of experience to build on the enviable performance of his predecessor, Barr Chiedu Ebie.

“It is my prayers that God, grant him good health, and divine wisdom to function in his new office,” Oghenesivbe said.
