The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has begun a ‘controlled demolition’ at the collapsed building site in Ikoyi.
Workers from the agency pulled the estate entry building apart with an excavator on Sunday afternoon as part of their emergency response to the catastrophe, which claimed the lives of more than 40 people.
The two other skyscrapers next to the one that collapsed on Monday, November 1 have been left intact while government authorities continue to clean the wreckage at the scene.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has, however, said that the other two structures would be subjected to “ageing analysis”.
