The former lawmaker, who represented Osun West Senatorial District, expressed joy alongside the people of Ijesha over the ascension of the new monarch to the revered throne of his ancestors.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Senator Husain praised Oba Haastrup’s impressive record in both the public and private sectors, highlighting his preparedness to lead Ijesha Land into a new era of progress.
“It is with great pleasure and delight that I congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, on his coronation marking his glorious ascension to the throne of his forefathers,” Senator Husain stated.
“This epochal occasion signals the beginning of a new era in the historical trajectory of the Ijesha Kingdom.”
The senator commended the monarch’s visionary leadership, referencing his past roles including as the pioneer Deputy Governor of Osun and his contributions to public sector reforms across various national agencies such as PHCN, NPA, FHA, and FERMA.
Senator Husain expressed confidence in Oba Haastrup’s capacity to utilise his extensive experience to attract sustainable development and foster peace and stability within Ijesha Land and beyond.
He concluded with a prayer for a prosperous and impactful reign for the new king, assuring his support and collaboration toward a more progressive Osun State.
