Colombian wing-back Daniel Muñoz opened the scoring with a towering header in the first half in Lublin, where Dynamo are forced to play due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Eddie Nketiah doubled the lead after the break, finishing sharply from Yeremy Pino’s cross.
The win stretched Palace’s unbeaten run to a club-record 19 matches, although they were forced to hold firm late on after Borna Sosa was dismissed for two quick bookings, leaving them with 10 men for the final 15 minutes.
Palace earned their European berth by winning last season’s FA Cup final against Manchester City but were placed in the Conference League following UEFA sanctions over multi-club ownership rules.
Until now, their only taste of continental competition had been in the 1998 Intertoto Cup.
The Eagles are tipped as one of the frontrunners for the Conference League crown and will next host AEK Larnaca of Cyprus on 23 October.
