Dangote Cement Customer Awards honoured top distributors and partners at a Lagos gala, with Aliko Dangote reaffirming growth and expansion plans

Dangote Cement Plc on Saturday hosted its 2026 Customer Awards and Gala Night at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, celebrating customers and long standing partners whose performance and loyalty have supported the company’s expansion across Nigeria and beyond.

The event, themed Partners for Growth, brought together senior executives of Dangote Cement, distributors, business leaders and staff members for an evening focused on recognition, appreciation and future growth.

Guests were received through a creatively designed entrance featuring brick inspired décor and visual elements drawn from Dangote Cement’s product packaging, setting a corporate yet celebratory tone for the night.

Inside the venue, a mini hall of fame displayed images and brand names of top performing distributors and partners, highlighting individuals and organisations that have played pivotal roles in the company’s growth across regions and states.

Entertainment was provided by leading Nigerian music stars, including Flavour, Peter Okoye and Chike, whose energetic performances added colour and excitement to the evening.

A defining moment of the night was the arrival of the President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote.

Dressed in his trademark traditional attire and cap, the billionaire industrialist was warmly welcomed by guests and exchanged greetings with dignitaries and award recipients.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dangote praised the dedication and resilience of the company’s distributors and partners, describing them as the backbone of Dangote Cement’s operational success.

“Your tireless work in the field, your commitment to our products and your engagement with customers are what turn our vision into tangible results,” Dangote said.

“This celebration shows that our growth journey for 2026 has already begun.”

He also reaffirmed the group’s long term outlook, pointing to ongoing plans for industrial expansion, increased production capacity and strategic investments aimed at strengthening Africa’s self sufficiency in critical sectors.

During the Dangote Cement Customer Awards, leading distributors and customers received incentives valued at billions of naira in recognition of their consistency, performance and loyalty.

The rewards included cash prizes, cement consignments, luxury vehicles and compressed natural gas powered trucks, underscoring the scale of the company’s appreciation for its partners.

Several prominent business leaders attended the gala, including the Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu; the Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank, Adaora Umeoji; and businessman Jim Ovia, alongside other industry figures.
