Among the dignitaries who visited the Dangote exhibition stand were Grenada’s Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, Saint Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, Nigeria’s Finance Minister Wale Edun, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal.
The Dangote stand, one of the most visited at the continent’s premier trade and investment forum, attracted strong interest in polypropylene (PP) a key product from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
Polypropylene is a versatile thermoplastic polymer widely used in food packaging, textiles, medical devices, and automobile parts due to its strength, lightweight nature, and resistance to heat and chemicals.
Delegations led by the leaders on Friday, September 5, 2025, commended the Group’s investments across cement, petrochemicals, fertilisers, sugar, salt, logistics, and refined petroleum products.
They highlighted how these ventures have boosted industrialisation, created jobs, and strengthened economic integration across Africa.
Welcoming the delegations, Engr. Mansur Ahmed, Special Adviser and Representative of Aliko Dangote,
alongside Garba El-Suleiman, Group Head of Commercial Foods, emphasised the Group’s commitment to driving Africa’s industrial growth.
As a Premier Partner of IATF 2025, Dangote Industries is showcasing the breadth of its operations spanning 18 subsidiaries critical to Africa’s economic transformation.
The company also marked its “Dangote Special Day” during the fair on Saturday.
Organised by Afreximbank in partnership with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, and hosted by Algeria, the biennial IATF promotes intra-African trade and investment.
This year’s edition features over 2,000 exhibitors, with trade and investment deals projected to exceed US\$44 billion.
