Dapo Abiodun’s freebies; when is my turn?

There is a new Father Christmas in town, his grottos are located in the Presidential Lodge, Abeokuta and Dapo Abiodun’s private residence in Iperu. It’s Christmas time in Ogun State, and some PDP leaders have become wiser; they have taken the shortest route to collecting their own national cake.

I listen to some politicians discussing “when is my turn?”. Dapo Abiodun has become so desperate in the face of glaring defeat on March 18 and wiser members of the political class are cashing in on that desperation. “If you send DA to help you buy Shawarma now, he will run the errand without looking back”, one of them said. The other one laughed: “in fact, he can wash your girlfriend’s undies now” 😁😁😁

Dapo Abiodun was wrongly advised on the tactics of poaching PDP leaders, baiting them with money from Ogun State’s Tax Payers, but feelers outside are that many of these so-called party leaders are deliberately going there to make the best out of his desperation.

Open declaration for the APC is now a serious vocation, far more rewarding than monthly paid jobs as you can collect your one year salary at a go. The money he gives out is in the old 1,000 naira denomination and they are packed in black travelling bags. Depending on the kind of photo ops that you can do, the amount ranges from N50m naira (cash) and above per person.

Governor Dapo Abiodun was one of the APC Governors that took the Federal Government to court on the pretext that they were fighting for the masses. And since the CBN is even yet to direct Commercial banks on the 1000 & 500 naira notes, the almost frustrated Dapo Abiodun had to push the money out by any means.

Gathered that “Won tun ti mu won de oooo” is now a common slang in government circles, referring to the “decampees” who are led into an open circus show of adoption like stray dogs.

Some of the decampees, we gathered, have also confessed that they are attracted to Dapo Abiodun’s profligacy to collect their own share of Ogun State’s commonwealth which have been amassed into a private estate by DA and his cronies.
