Dr. Zannu, who serves as Head of the Department of Mass Communication at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), was honored for his research impact and scholarly contributions.

The prestigious listing was announced Monday in a document released by Scopus SciVal, a globally trusted research analytics tool powered by Elsevier.

SciVal uses data from the Scopus database to track research output, measure academic influence, and inform university rankings worldwide.

Only peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus are used for this yearly ranking, making the listing a benchmark for excellence in academia.

In his congratulatory message, LASUSTECH Vice Chancellor Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya praised Dr. Zannu for the well-deserved honor.

“This recognition reflects Dr. Zannu’s dedication to value-adding research. It also reinforces our University’s commitment to supporting faculty in producing solution-driven academic work,” he said.

Reacting to the news, Dr. Zannu expressed deep appreciation and humility over the achievement.

“This listing is the result of steady investment in rigorous academic research. It motivates me to pursue even greater scholarly contributions,” he remarked.

The annual SciVal listing is respected worldwide for its objectivity and transparency.

It contributes data to major global university rankings like Times Higher Education (THE), influencing how institutions and individuals are viewed in the international academic space.
