Eedris Abdulkareem: A legend and much more…

Eedris Abdulkareem will be dropping a new song, EMI LOKAN, soon.

You see, I told people that one day, I would write the story of what really occurred those years back and how it all started. I was one of the very first reporters to interview Eedris, known then as Mr. Remedy, and witnessed how the Remedies sprang from the tenacity and humble sacrifice of that young man.

I wrote a piece that was widely shared on Facebook a few years ago, but unfortunately, it has disappeared into the Zuckerberg archives with the deactivation of my page. However, based on my experience, I will rewrite it again.

It is quite unfortunate that citizens do not appreciate the sacrifices of heroes but jump to the defense of oppressors, simply because heroes do not make the kind of money oppressors do.

They sacrifice it all for the rather ungrateful multitude. Anyway, you see, while many of those who have suddenly begun to criticize went into oblivious hibernation, Eedris Abdulkareem was there, warring, fighting for the masses, and putting his life on the line for the common people. If anyone is not aware of the antics of his rather mentally challenged critics today, they must belong to the ‘Choco-Milo’ generation. They will soon understand the difference when we begin to educate them.

I knew Eedris would raise his voice to the plight of the masses again in this senseless, unrhythmic labyrinth of unbelievably cacophonic suffering in the land. Eedris has never stopped, and that is why he has remained relevant through every generation, and that is why he is a living legend. We hold him dear, and nothing can stop that.

Watch out for EMI LOKAN, guys. Dropping soon!
