Speaking in Sokoto on Saturday during a grassroots mobilisation campaign, the former Kaduna State Governor called the All Progressives Congress incompetent and clannish,” warning that if allowed to rule beyond 2027, it could destroy what remains of Nigeria’s fragile social fabric.
“This is the fight of our lives,” El-Rufai said, addressing youth groups, political stakeholders, and women across the 23 local government areas of Sokoto.
“I didn’t enter politics to enrich myself. When government ceases to serve, it must be challenged.”
He revealed that the opposition coalition’s adoption of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its 2027 platform is a strategic attempt to unite Nigerians under a competent and people-first alternative.
