In a surprising turn of events, tech mogul Elon Musk has officially endorsed Donald Trump for president following a recent assassination attempt on the former US president.

This endorsement, shared via Musk’s social media, has added a dramatic twist to the current political landscape.

Elon Musk, known for his innovative contributions to technology and space exploration, took to social media to endorse Trump.

He shared a video of Trump being hurried away by the Secret Service after the attempted assassination with the caption: “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”

Musk’s endorsement signifies a significant moment in the 2024 presidential race, highlighting his unexpected entry into the political fray.

The assassination attempt occurred at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The FBI identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

The attack, which took place from an elevated position outside the rally venue, resulted in the death of one attendee and critical injuries to two spectators.

The Secret Service responded quickly, neutralising the shooter and ensuring Trump’s safety.
