Emmanuel Chidiebere Nwosu directs political drama ‘The Exco’ as Oloketuyi hosts Obasanjo, Osoba and top dignitaries at Lagos premiere.
Popularly known as Director Mo, Emmanuel Chidiebere Nwosu has brought a new level of depth and realism to Nigerian cinema with his direction of The Exco, a gripping political drama from producer Seun Oloketuyi’s Ultimate Communications.
The film, set to premiere on 15 October 2025 at the Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre in Lagos, has already captured the attention of Nigeria’s political and cultural elite.
Among the distinguished guests expected at the exclusive premiere are former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Ogun State Governor Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Ovation International publisher Aare Dele Momodu, the Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Moji Ojora Meranda, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Lagos Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources Tokunbo Wahab, and Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture Toke Benson-Awoyinka.
Directed by the talented Director Mo, The Exco explores the moral struggles and hidden motivations behind political decision-making.
Critics have already hailed it as a powerfully executed film that fuses suspense, intellect and emotional depth.
The film’s compelling narrative is matched by an exceptional cast that includes Deyemi Okanlawon, Bimbo Akintola, Jide Kosoko, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Scarlet Gomez, Femi Branch, Lizzy Jay, Olarotimi Fakunle, Norbert Young, Patrick Doyle and Kunle Coker.
Executive producer Seun Oloketuyi, who is also the founder of the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, described The Exco as a reflection of the complexities of power, loyalty and integrity in public life.
He said the production team worked tirelessly to craft a film that speaks to the heart of Nigeria’s socio-political realities.
