Owoeye commended the resilience and passion of the people of Emure Kete, emphasising the importance of standing together as an indivisible community.

He highlighted the intervention of the president of the Emure Ekiti Progressive Association, Prince Ayogbade Ogunsina, and his Executive Council in addressing the issue.

According to a letter made available to Freelanews.com, the president has directed that immediate steps be taken to cancel and recover the sold properties, urging the community to work together to build inclusivity and allow peace to reign.

The newly formed EMURE LOCAL GOVT ASSETS VERIFICATION & DOCUMENTATION COMMITTEE, comprising representatives from various groups within Emure, will locate and document all local government assets within and outside the state.

This initiative aims to compile a comprehensive list of assets, some of which could be repurposed for the University/Polytechnic Project if they are not currently in use.

The committee members include Mr. Isaac Adeyemo (Chairman, Emure Elite Forum), Barrister Malomo Tobi (Secretary, Emure Rebirth), Chief Adedayo Abegunde (Akogun, representing the Palace), Chief Wande Kolade (representing the Palace), Barrister Olatunji Taiwo (Legal Counsel to Emure Ekiti Development Association), Mr. Niyi Awopetu (Emure Rebirth), and Mr. Anthony Ayodele (Emure Rebirth).

The committee has six weeks to submit their report, and copies will be made available to the Elemure in council, Emure Ekiti Progressive Association, Secretary to the Local Government, Steering Committee of the Emure Ekiti Educational Project, and the Emure Ekiti Rebirth Agenda group.

The public is also encouraged to provide any information on the location of local government assets to the committee.

Owoeye emphasised that the focus is on the developmental agenda of Emure Ekiti, ensuring that the community’s resources are used effectively for its growth.

He called for unity and cooperation, assuring that all efforts are geared towards the common good of Emure Ekiti.
