The Lagos State Government has ordered the close down of all Chrisland School branches within the state owing to the alleged Sextape involving students of the school, especially a 10 year old girl.
In a joint statement signed by the State Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Office of Education Quality Assurance , Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, all branches of the school are to remain shut pending the outcome of investigations.
The statement revealed that the State government acknowledged the incident, saying that there is serious investigation ongoing over the alleged sexual violence centered around the school.
An excerpt from the statement read;
“It is pertinent to note that all allegations are being investigated by the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including Ministry of Educaion, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Ministry of Justice and the Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency, whilst the criminal allegations have been escalated to the Commissioner of Police
In the mean time, all Chrisland schools within Lagos are hereby closed, pending further investigations.”
