The first wife of the legendary highlife musician, late Bobby Benson, is dead, Freelanews authoritatively reports.
In an exclusive chat with a source close to the family, Madamé Cassandra Gertrude Francis passed on peacefully on May 29, 2020 in England.
Late Bobby Benson met late Madamé Cassandra (part-Scottish and part-Caribbean in origin) in London.

The union produced a wonderful, loving and highly talented son, Prince Anthony W. O. Benson, fondly called Tony, born in 1949.
She later returned to London alone and had a second child for her second husband. Her daughter’s name is Mrs. Jacqueline, fondly called Jacky, and she is 68years old now. She is married to Mr. Roy Forbes with children and grandchildren.
Madamé Cassandra Gertrude Francis, aged 93, was survived by her two children, step children, grandchildren and great grand children.
According to the source close to the family, her step-mother would be missed.
“With a sad and heavy heart, we are announcing that the family of Bobby Benson and the entire Benson family have lost a dear and wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and more; late Madamé Cassandra Gertrude Francis.
“Mama, you will be missed so much by all, far and near.
“😇🌹May your gentle soul go on resting in peace. Adieu Madam Cassandra Gertrude Francis. Adieu. {RIP}🌹💗😇,” the source wrote.

I take this opportunity to commiserate with the Benson’s family at this time, especially ‘TONY Benson’. on the death of his beloved mother, Cassandra who died at a good old age of 93 years. In the age of junk’s food, who ever thought someone of a music background could live that long? But she did.
