According to preliminary reports, Tessy checked into the unnamed hotel on 16 June 2025 with a man she had met on Facebook.

The man later left the premises alone. Her body was discovered hours afterwards by hotel staff during a routine check.

Authorities revealed that Tessy’s hands were bound behind her back using a hotel bedsheet, indicating clear signs of homicide.

Police say the man she lodged with is now the prime suspect and remains at large.

She just said she was meeting a Facebook friend. Now she’s gone forever.

Before the incident, Tessy had informed a close friend that she was going to meet a man she had befriended through Facebook.

The friend, who has chosen to remain anonymous, told investigators, “She said it was just a casual meet-up, nothing serious.”

The FCT Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation, calling on the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect.

Social media has erupted in outrage over the incident, with many users demanding tighter safety measures and more public awareness around the dangers of meeting online acquaintances in private locations.
