FirstBank to host its 2025 Agric and Export Conference in Lagos to promote agriculture and non-oil exports as pillars of Nigeria’s economic diversification
The FirstBank Agric and Export Conference 2025 is set to hold on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, reinforcing FirstBank’s pivotal role in strengthening Nigeria’s agricultural and non-oil export landscape.

Themed “The Fundamentals of Building a Non-Oil Export Driven Economy,” this year’s conference builds on previous editions and aims to unlock new growth opportunities within key sectors poised to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on crude oil.
The 2025 edition will adopt a hybrid format, allowing in-person attendance from key stakeholders and virtual participation from a broader audience.
Attendees will gain access to curated technical sessions, interactive plenaries, and an exhibition spotlighting top players across agriculture, logistics, and export services.
Keynote speaker Senator Abubakar Kyari, Honourable Minister of Agriculture & Food Security, will open the conference. Other confirmed speakers include:
- Jafar Abubakar Umar – MD, Bank of Agriculture (BOA)
- Abba Bello – MD/CEO, Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM)
- Segun Awolowo – National Action Committee on AfCFTA
- Kabir Ibrahim – President, All Farmers Association of Nigeria
- Nonye Ayeni – CEO, Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC)
Discussions will focus on market access, trade finance, value chain optimization, and policy frameworks to improve Nigeria’s non-oil export capacity.
