‘Freaky!’ For being a nuisance, mother suffocates baby to death (Photo)

A mother has confessed to suffocating her baby daughter to death with a plastic bag for being a nuisance.

Zohal Sakwall, 40, called police in Nashville, Tennessee, to confess to the June 2010 killing of her four month-old daughter Natalie in January, and was arrested and charged with the infant’s murder on Monday night.

During a police interview after that call, Sakwall told investigators that she’d killed Natalie because of ‘the disruption to her life caused by having the child.’

At the time of Natalie’s death, Sakwall successfully claimed that her daughter had died in a freak accident, which the alleged killer said happened after her baby got tangled in a blanket.

Sakwall told investigators at the time that she had laid Natalie down in her crib for a nap, and that the little girl had become entangled in the comforter after she stepped away.

The mom said Natalie had been unresponsive when she returned, with a subsequent investigation and autopsy finding no reason to doubt her version of events.

Police have yet to say what prompted Sakwall to confess to her daughter’s murder 10 years on, the Tennessean reported.

She has now been charged with first-degree murder, and is being held at Nashville Metropolitan County Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
