Aisha Buhari said this at the sixth anniversary and award ceremony of her pet project, ‘Future Assured,’ held in Abuja on Thursday.
She urged both current and future political leaders to continue to work hard to close the nation’s wide developmental deficit in her welcoming address.
“As a result, I implore both current and future political leaders to pay close attention to the recurring developmental gap so that this, too, will become history,” she said.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo had earlier in his speech urged for continued development efforts and lauded the ‘Future Assured’ intervention in a variety of areas, including girl-child education, flood assistance, and IDPs, among others.
The wife of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, and Minister of the Niger Delta Godswill Akpabio were among the other dignitaries present.
