Glo Foundation encourages girls in STEM by launching a N5 million competition to inspire innovation and build confidence across Nigerian schools
The “Glo Innov8” National STEM Competition by Glo Foundation has been launched to motivate senior secondary school girls nationwide to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The competition aims to inspire young female students to compete, innovate, and win, while boosting their confidence and expanding their knowledge in STEM subjects.
This initiative is part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empower girls to pursue STEM careers and become future problem solvers for Nigeria.
In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Glo Foundation has committed millions of naira in prizes, with winning schools sharing rewards worth N5 million.

The top school will receive N2 million in cash, two laptops for student representatives, and N200,000 for the Teacher, Mentor, or STEM Coordinator. Consolation prizes will be awarded to runners-up and their mentors.
Entries for the competition opened on Monday, September 15, and will close on October 5, 2025.
