Oceangate Oil and Gas collaborates with Global Petroleum Group, driving Grenada’s transformation into a major Caribbean energy hub

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n a transformative move, Oceangate Oil and Gas, under CEO Dr. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, has partnered with Global Petroleum Group to tap into Grenada’s hydrocarbon reserves, setting the stage for one of the Caribbean’s largest oil and gas projects.

This multibillion-dollar initiative is designed to make Grenada an energy hub, creating jobs, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting technological advancement.

The venture aims to diversify Grenada’s economy by establishing a robust energy sector that fosters sustainable growth and regional influence in the global energy market.

This partnership aligns with Oceangate’s commitment to eco-friendly energy production, balancing economic benefits with environmental standards.

Dr. Achimugu expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasising its importance for both Grenada’s future and broader African-Caribbean relations.

“We are thrilled to enter this partnership with Global Petroleum Group, which will bring substantial economic benefits and energy resources to Grenada,” she said.

She further highlighted Oceangate’s commitment to sustainable solutions that support prosperity and promote regional collaboration.

This initiative comes at a time when the Caribbean is reshaping its energy landscape, making the Grenada project a symbol of economic resilience.

By leveraging local hydrocarbon resources, Grenada stands to become a vital energy provider, not only within the Caribbean but in markets beyond, positioning the nation as a future leader in energy production and sustainable resource management.

Local industries anticipate economic gains across various sectors as job creation, infrastructure development, and skill transfer redefine the landscape.

Oceangate’s investment underscores a mutual vision shared with Global Petroleum Group, fostering a robust economic foundation while setting a precedent for renewable energy integration within the Caribbean’s energy matrix.
