A case of alleged rape with a fifteen years old housemaid has reportedly made a forty five years old married man identified as Bayo Oresanya to flee from the house he built for himself at Bota Village in Odo Ona Elewe area of Ibadan, after several attempts to silent the case with lies and bribery proved futile.

Within Nigeria gathered that Mr. Bayo Oresanya’s in-law sought for housemaid to help their daughter with house chores after his wife delivered a baby through caesarean section last year. The mother of Mr. Bayo’s wife was able to secure a fifteen years old housemaid simply identified as Mary who lives three houses away from the couple’s house after persuading the girl’s mother within a short period of time.

Few months later, the decision to get a housemaid turned to regrets after Mr. Bayo allegedly started having sex with Mary without consent at every opportunity, most especially whenever his wife is not around.

According to Mary, Mr. Bayo usually drives her to an unknown place to sleep with her in his car whenever the house is not conducive. The sexual assaults coupled with several threats made her to keep mum until she was impregnated and was forced to spill the truth, revealing the man behind her pregnancy.

Mary’s mother who is not sound, a partial imbecile woman and close family friends are now seeking for justice after her abused daughter delivered a baby through caesarean section yesterday, 5th of March. According to them, Mr. Bayo refused to show up for any form of responsibility, leaving them with hospital bills estimated to the tune of One hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N150,000).

Prior to Mary’s child delivery, it was learnt that the matter had escalated within the area, the Landlord association delved into the matter and invited Mr. Bayo for interrogation. He allegedly admitted when he spoke with the landlord association and later refused to claim responsibility as he issues several forms of threats to whoever raises the the matter in the area.

Efforts to get help from some security agency also proved futile. The Nigeria Security Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) at the Child Trafficking Unit in Ibadan Secretariat was also informed about the matter. A close person to Mary’s family revealed that they were in touch with one of the NSDC officers identified as Officer Afe who reportedly turned down the case after a short period of time and later disclosed to the family that they are no longer interested in the case.

The matter was also aired during a Yoruba program on a popular radio station in Ibadan and the suspect reportedly absconded the area as the matter begin to gain more attention.
