Bamofin Bimbo Ogunbanjo, one of the victims of a tragic helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of prominent figures including Herbert Wigwe, founding CEO of Access Holdings Ltd, was mourned deeply by Femi Otedola.

Bamofin Ogunbanjo, also known as Otunba Bimbo Ogunbanjo, served as the Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), an influential figure in the Nigerian corporate sector.
Born to the family of Chris and Hilda Ogunbanjo, he was esteemed as a distinguished corporate lawyer, industrialist, and philanthropist.
Educated at renowned institutions both in Nigeria and abroad, Bamofin Ogunbanjo held degrees in Business Administration from the American College, Switzerland, and Law from the University of Buckingham, UK. His expertise extended to international capital markets and maritime law, backed by certifications from prestigious institutions.
Femi Otedola, deeply saddened by the loss, expressed his condolences, remembering Ogunbanjo as a source of joy and endless laughter.
In a heartfelt tribute, Otedola extended sympathies to Ogunbanjo’s wife, children, and immediate family members, praying for comfort during this tragic time.

I am devastated to hear of his passing. He gave joy to many of us for so long, from when we were in our youth till date. Forever the guy to crack unending jokes.

In the same vein, Odetola also spared time to specially mourn Wigwe, who suffered the same fate as Baamofin and other five victims of the crash.
I am shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of a banking genius Herbert Wigwe, his dear wife Chizoba and first son Chizi.
Exactly two weeks ago Herbie and his wife hosted myself and Aliko to dinner at his newly built home in Lagos. I will cherish and fondly remember my memories of time spent together with him over the years.
Herbie, we will all miss you.
Your leagcy will live on forever.
