Everton manager, Frank Lampard has reacted after his Crystal Palace counterpart, Patrick Vieira kicked a fan to the ground after their Premier League clash last night.

Everton came from 2-0 down in the first half to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 to escape relegation.

Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew gave Crystal Palace the lead in the first half, while Michael Keane, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin scored for the home side to confirm they will play in the topflight next season.

After the game, thousands of Everton fans flooded onto the pitch in celebration.

And one of them repeatedly appeared to make a rude gesture in front of Patrick Vieira’s face as he walked towards the dressing room.

The Frenchman appeared to have initially overlooked him, but as the fan kept following him, the manager then turned around and grabbed him before aiming a kick to the fan’s leg which knocked him to the ground.

Video footage which was posted on social media shows the fan hurling expletives at Vieira before the Palace manager confronted him.

When told about Vieira’s clash with the supporter, Lampard told a post-match press conference: “I feel for Patrick.

“I would have said come in [to the tunnel] with us, he was running across the pitch of 80 yards.

“It was the pure elation of fans that want to stay in the Premier League. Are we going to handcuff them to their seats when we are 2-0 down and come back to win 3-2?”
