In a passionate appeal to the executive governor of Ogun State, the chairman of the state’s Labour Party, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, has requested that the government should be very vigilant as there are suspected cases of rich and hiding coronavirus patients in Ogun State.

Comrade Abayomi pointedly mentioned the former House of Representatives member and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Hon. Ladi Adebutu.

In a letter made available to Freelanews TV, he noted that through information obtained from his aides, Hon. Adebutu conducted his test at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, but kept mum on the result.

The politician alleged that instead, Hon. Adebutu has resulted to home treatment and secrecy.

It is no gainsaying that the severally gubernatorial candidates of the PDP has many domestic staff who could be exposed based on these secrecy and home treatment without even knowing. This could result in community transmission of this deadly disease.

The Labour Party chairman stated that if the state governor doesn’t act quickly, the case in Kano may finally turn out to be a child’s play as compare to what may happen in Ogun State.

“My very strong and hard appeal to the governor is that it should be noted that in the effort at reducing the spread of the virus to avoid experiences of countries like the USA and Italy, the process of containment should be holistic. Not anyway encumbered by anyone’s status as the denial and counter denial of over 700 deaths recorded in Kano State Nigeria is still very much fresh in the public,” he submitted.
