Touted as the biggest developers’ event in South South Nigeria for the year, Borderless 1.0 had the theme, “Building Usable Tech Solutions”.

In her address, Karla Obakpolor, the convener of the conference welcomed all participants and guest to the occasion, congratulating them for being part of the epoch-making event that is going to disrupt the tech ecosystem in the country.

Speaking on the evolution of the conference, Karla revealed, “Borderless 1.0 evolved from an initial in-house training-Dev Hub, an online programme in partnership with a tech company, Comsotech. Today, Borderless has expanded to becoming a developers’ hub with its first physical hub in Port-Harcourt, a major tech city in South South, Nigeria while plans are ongoing to expand to other states in Nigeria and Africa at large,” she said.

The blockchain business developer and Algorand ambassador in 2020 further added, “Borderless is a haven where Africans are trained to become developers who can build solid infrastructure and innovative ideas for Africa.

According to Onyeka Ekwemozor, Chairperson of the Planning Committee for the hybrid conference, Borderless 1.0 was a major success, one that had over 1000 participants across different state in Nigeria with 25 speakers of global repute, 20 partners and four sponsors.
In his vote of thanks, Prince Michael Dalafi, the Chief Technology Officer of Crypto Smart thanked all attendees for gracing the occasion, while also pouring encomiums on the speakers for sharing from their wealth of experience with participants of the event.

“I want to thank our partners, our speakers, our volunteers, our attendees. I want to specially thank all our sponsors whose passion for growing the technological space has remained unmatched by any other. Indeed, we cannot tell the story of Borderless 1.0 without you. Well done,” he concluded.
