Kano State governorship election dispute between Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is scheduled to be decided by the Court of Appeal Abuja Division on Friday.
A notice posted on the appellate court’s board states that the judgment is expected to be delivered by 10 a.m.
Ahead of the anticipated ruling on the governorship election, the Kano State government has issued a call for calm.
The government asked NNPP supporters to maintain composure and refrain from disturbing the peace, according to a statement made public by Baba Halilu Dantiye, the Kano State Commissioner for Information.
The commissioner demanded that the security services step up their efforts to maintain the law, order, and tranquility of the court.
