Afro-Juju icon King Sunny Ade reassures fans he’s safe and still performing, dismissing kidnap claims made by his daughter on social media
[dropcap]N[/dropcap]igerian music legend, King Sunny Ade (KSA), has firmly dismissed swirling rumours about his alleged disappearance and safety, assuring fans that he is alive, well, and actively performing.

The Afro-Juju pioneer made the clarification in a live video shared by his wife, Mrs. Bose Olubo-Adegeye, on Tuesday, following concerns raised by his daughter, Damilola Adeniyi-Adegeye.
The controversy erupted on Monday when Damilola alleged via social media that her father was being held against his will by his manager and stepson, Dayo Adegeye.
She accused Dayo of isolating the veteran singer, mismanaging his affairs, and siphoning funds.
Nobody kidnapped me. I believe that the whole world is in love with me. I have been doing my shows… This is me, King Sunny Ade,” he said. “By God’s grace, enjoyment continues. Music is my life, it is my business, and I will continue to do it.
Despite the heated online exchanges, King Sunny Ade appeared composed and jovial in the live broadcast.
He revealed he had just performed at a show in Lekki, Lagos, and was en route to another event, emphasizing his commitment to music and his fans.
He extended gratitude to his fans and family for their concern, attributing the misunderstanding to his children not seeing him recently.
