Korede Bello has opened up about his decision to leave Mavins Records, revealing he sought personal growth and felt like a product solely focused on making money.
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]inger Korede Bello has revealed the reasons behind his departure from Don Jazzy-led Mavins Records, where he was signed in 2014 and left in 2021.
In an interview with Hip TV, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Bello shared that his exit stemmed from a desire for personal development and reconnection with his purpose.

He explained that he had reached a point in his career where he needed to evolve and focus on self-discovery. “I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why,” Bello stated.
The artist revealed that he started to feel like a product at Mavins, focused only on generating revenue. “You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit… a lot of artists are addicted to that circle,” he added, emphasising that he needed to break free from that cycle to rediscover his true passion.
Bello’s decision to leave the label was driven by a deeper need for meaning, moving away from the constant pressure of producing hits and staying relevant in the industry.
