Formerly known as Entertainment Week Lagos, the newly rebranded continental showcase is expanding its vision to empower Africa’s creative economy across five sectors: music, film, fashion, technology, and live production.
Organisers announced that EWA 2025 will feature six flagship events:
- Content Festival
- Music Festival
- Fashion Festival
- AI & Tech Expo
- Live Production Expo
- Creative Job Fair
The weeklong event will offer mentorship, funding access, and market entry opportunities for emerging creatives, making it one of the most inclusive and opportunity-driven events on the continent.
“In just three years, what started as a local initiative has transformed into a continental force,” said Darey Art Alade, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Livespot360, the event’s organizer.
“Entertainment Week Africa is a commitment to building a pan-African creative economy that is visible, viable, and globally competitive.”
The goal of Entertainment Week Africa 2025 is to bridge critical gaps:
- Talent ↔ Infrastructure
- Innovation ↔ Capital
- Local Potential ↔ Global Visibility
With Africa’s creative industries expected to contribute billions to GDP and create millions of jobs, EWA 2025 is being positioned as a strategic platform to boost investor confidence and attract sustainable funding into the sector.
EWA has already enabled distribution deals, international partnerships, and brand collaborations.
The upcoming Lagos edition will further solidify Africa’s position on the global creative economy map, organisers say.
