The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs, LASODA, has issued a stern condemnation in response to reports of discrimination against Debola Daniel, a person with a disability, at a KFC restaurant located within Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on March 27, 2024.

In a public statement, LASODA expressed its unequivocal disapproval of any form of discrimination, particularly against individuals with disabilities. Emphasizing the fundamental right to dignity and respect for all individuals, irrespective of their disabilities, the agency reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities in Lagos State.
The agency stressed its dedication to ensuring that discriminatory actions, such as those alleged in the incident involving Daniel, are not tolerated.
LASODA also emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable and will be met with appropriate measures.
The agency therefore urged the public to come forward and report any discrimination based on their disability to lasoda@lagosstate.gov.ng, while reinstating its pledge to fostering an inclusive and accessible society where the rights of all individuals, including those with disabilities, are respected and upheld.
